Rolf Rahl

Inducted: 1990s

A founding member of the San Fernando Valley Football Officials Association in 1976, Rolfe dedicated more than two decades to excellence on the field and in the classroom. From the early 1970s through the late 1990s, he officiated countless CIF Southern Section and City Section playoff and championship games, earning widespread respect for his calm authority, deep rules knowledge, and clear communication.

Beyond his officiating success, Rolfe was best known as an exceptional instructor who guided first- and second-year officials with patience and clarity—many of whom went on to achieve success at higher levels. Colleagues remember him as “one of the great ones,” a tremendous referee, teacher, and mentor. A lifelong educator, Rolfe also served as a physical education teacher, counselor, and multi-sport coach at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, where his passion for sports and leadership left a lasting legacy.
