Bill began officiating basketball and football in 1966 in Great Falls, Montana.  He officiated major college football for 31 years for the Western Athletic and Mountain West Conferences.  He completed 18 years as a Crew Chief with the Arena Football League.  He was an NFL Replay Offivial for five years.

He officiated 17 post-season bowl games, including the Rose Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Citrus Bowl and Gater Bowl.  Bill officiated five Arena Championship games.

Bill was a Pac-12  basketball official for seventeen years and on the WCC, WAC and Big West staffs.  He was a Pac-12 basketball Observer for ten years and the Coordinator of Men’s Basketball Officials for the Pac-12 from 2005-2011.  He was also Coordinator of Basketball Officials for the Big West Conference.

For ten years, Bill worked for FOX Sports, assisting Mike Pereira analyzing plays and officiating issues at the FOX Sports  Studio.

Bill resides in Orange County.
